Tis’ that time of the year! As I sit down to pen this post — hot chocolate at hand — I am very much aware that I am lucky. Lucky to have my family and friends, and those I care about. Lucky to have been able to spend the holidays with them. I can only hope 2019 is just a good a year.
Going over my gifts, I’ve decided to split them up in similar categories, and as such they have been photographed in groups (unless they weren’t photographed at all). I will link all the products below.
The First Group of gifts was the additions to my Funko Collection. From my brother I received the Crimes of Grindelwald Albus Dumbledore, and from a friend, the Grindelwald and Thestral Funko Scene; I also received Qi'ra from Star Wars from another friend. Qi’ra now sits at the top of my bookshelf, where the majority of my pops are - whereas, Grindelwald and Dumbledamn (yeah, that was not a typo - Dumbledore is played by Jude Law), hold court in one of the shelves I’ve filled with various books by J.K. Rowling.
The Next Group consists at what I consider the Beauty, Lifestyle and Fashion group. The first item was a gift from my mom - a bottle of Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black, which is probably my favorite perfume to wear. For those who haven’t tried it, Nirvana Black’s scent is a combination of Violet, Sandalwood, and Vanilla. This one was both a surprise and not a surprise, as my mom did ask what I wanted, but I did give her an extensive list. The second item is a purse from Aldo. It is a large crossbody in a deep Burgundy color which I really liked as it fits a lot like a messenger bag, but not as large, yet it is not a small crossbody bag. Also, I did not have the color. The other item is a sweater, which my cousin brought me from her trip to Guatemala. It is made similar to a Baja Hoodie, yet the fabric is a bit thicker. Not added to this picture is a Michael Kors crossbody which I purchased for myself as a treat - and because the store was 70% that day.
The Final Group is the art supplies. My mom got me most things in this picture, as she gifted me the Prismacolor 150 colored pencil set, a William Mitchell Calligraphy set, and the Bienfang parchment paper unbound pad - all of which I loved. Also in this image is the other gift I received from my cousin in the family Secret Santa - a Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor Palette, which along with the Prismacolors is probably some of my favorite art supplies of all time. Not in the picture are a few items I received from my brother: a Neewer Portable Lightbox, and a mini Neewer Light and its battery pack. Looking forward to the projects, I’ll get to do with all these supplies.
While I am no true gamer, I do enjoy the occasional video game, so I also purchased a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Nintendo Switch, as well as a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller (a bit more comfortable for games like Smash and Zelda).
